There are a lot of people, who like to travel to countries, where the weather is rather warm than cold and wet. I don't like it, if the temperatures in summer are too high, but if it's too cold on this season, this is not very pleasant either. In Europe the temperatures can be very different in the North and in the South. Normally it is warmer round the southern regions, while it's colder in the North of this continent. In summer, when the sun is shining all day in Spain or Italy it is necessary to use suntan lotion to avoid a sunburn. In winter, when it is often very frosty in Norway or Finland, warm clothes are necessary not to be cold.
As in many other countries in Europe in Hungary the temperature differs much at the diverse seasons. The mean temperatures in the summer alternate from 27 to 35 degree Celsius, whereas in the winter they are 0 to -15 degree Celsius. In Portugal there are a lot of tourists each year in summer, who like the sun and the ocean. In Greece it is warm during the summer time often, too. A summer in this European state can be a real scorcher. Sometimes there are temperatures around 44 degree Celsius so that the people who are living there have to take a long break about noon, because at this time of the day it is too hot to do anything. In Germany the temperatures are quite normal during the whole year, although a lot of people in the southern part of Europe say that it is too cold in this country in the centre of the continent.
Just like in Europe in the United States of America the temperatures differ much from North to South. Whereas the weather in New York can be compared to the one of Central Europe, e. g. in Florida it is very hot in the summer, whereupon there is often a high air moisture. In Canada it can be very cold during the wintertime so that a lot of sportive people play ice hockey and do skiing. Because of the weather the conditions for these two sports are ideal. Argentina, Brazil and Peru are countries in South America. Brazil, which is the largest country of this continent, has a population of about 190 million people. There the temperatures in January are higher than those in June. In Rio de Janeiro the people celebrate carnival each year 40 days before Easter. In the West of South America there is the Republic of Peru, which has a climate that is varying in the different parts of the country.
Africa is a continent with high temperatures. In the North, where are several deserts, it is very warm and dry. Countries in Africa are e. g. Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Mali, Senegal, Togo and South Africa. In South Africa that has an area of about 1.2 million square kilometres there are cities as Cape Town, Kimberley and Johannesburg. The latter is the largest city of South Africa.
Another continent, which is the largest one in the world, is called Asia. More than sixty per cent of the world population live here. Well-known countries are Japan and China. In Japan, where the temperatures vary from north to south, there are living 127 million people. About 1.3 billion men, women and children live in China, where it can be quite warm in the summer.
In Australia, where the summer is very hot, the 21.5 million inhabitants pay with Australian dollars. The national language on this continent is English. The capital city is Canberra and the largest city of Australia is the known Sydney, where the Olympic Games took place in the year 2000. There are very special animals in Australia like koalas and kangaroos. Koalas nourish just on eucalyptus, while kangaroos are known for their special way of shifting. They cover distances by jumping. Furthermore they carry there children in a kind of bum bag.
For traveling to one of these continents or rather countries I use my computer to look in the internet for location plans, city maps or topographies. If I type in the addresses of the place of departure and the destination with the help of my keyboard, I get detailled directions after finishing the input. To most places I described above I cannot go by car, because oceans are separating my position from the place I want to travel to. In these cases I book tickets for traveling by aeroplane.
