There are a lot of TV channels, where you can watch many different telecasts. E. g. each day there are soaps, movies, reports and other things you can find by zapping through the channels. All these telecasts might be quiet ok, but I am more interested in reports about animals and travelogues. There is a continuous telecast on one channel, I watch often, where are presented animals and their keepers of diverse zoos from all regions of the country I am living in. I like to see what's going on with the horses, the birds, the reptiles and the fish in our zoos. But I am even more interested in watching the reports of all the lovely countries in the world.
One year ago I saw a telecast about Egypt. I was very astonished how nice this country seems to be. Of course, they showed the old pyramids to the viewers. With the help of a computer simulation it was presented, how hard it must have been to build all these big monuments. They needed a lot of working men for building these enormous constructions. Furthermore the channel displayed the Nile in its telecast. In and beside this very famous river there are living hippos, which also can be seen in some of the zoos in my country. I already marveled at these big animals when I was a young child. At that time I saw some of the hippos, when I visited a zoo with my parents. Finally it was reported of the Egyptian inhabitants. There were shown some interviews with them, whereas they also presented the places where they were living. All in all I loved this broadcast. Since I have watched it, I don't want to miss any of the travel reports that are presented on TV.
The next report I watched was about Ireland. A good portion of the broadcasting was about the capital of this European country. Dublin is not only the capital city of Ireland, but it is also its largest city. In Dublin there are a lot of sights, museums, shops, sports fields and others. When I saw the presentation of this big city, I immedidately had the desire to go there. But this was not the only city, where I got information from. Also there were presented other regions of Ireland, as e. g. the ones of Kerry, Limerick and Cork in the South West of the country. On the island there are a lot of pubs in each city, where the people meet for talking to each other, drinking Guiness and listening to live music. There are a lot of concerts in the Irish pubs, where guitar players and other musicians present their songs. I think I will spend one of my upcoming holidays in Ireland, because this country seems to be very nice. Especially the nature in Ireland is brilliant.
Two month ago there was a travelogue about Spain on TV. There was nothing told about the island Majorca , but they presented litte films about Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. Madrid that is the capital of Spain is the largest city in this country. It has more than three million inhabitants. You can visit a lot of museums in Madrid as the National Archaeological Museum of Spain. More over you have the possibility to watch operas in the Opera House that is called 'Teatro Real'. Furthermore there are interesting galleries and also other attractions in Madrid. Last the nightlife in the capital of Spain is very mentionable, because there are e. g. nice clubs and discotheques. Also Barcelona is a very nice Spanish city, where you can find churches and other places of interest. In the South of Spain there is Seville whose Spanish name is Sevilla. The city, which is more than two thousand years old, has very nice parks as well as gardens.
Although I am very interested in going to all these countries that are presented on TV, there is still the problem to get there. If you go there by car, you have to know, which roads you have to take to. I watched a broadcast some weeks ago, where was presented how to display and print out location plans that are provided on the Internet. There are several providers who offer this kind of service. You can visit the different sites, where you can type in your place of departure and your destination address. After you have confirmed the addresses, you will find a location plan and a map. Maps can be displayed in a detailled or in a less detailled form. When I will start my next journey, I will certainly use the service that I got to know in this interesting technical orientated broadcasting.
