There are different methods of building houses. So I know people, who live in buildings as row houses, skyscrapers or mansions. Last time I visited my oncle, who is living in a multi-storey building. As I hadn't been in his accommodation for a long time, I had to check up on the internet, how I could get to him. I booted my personal computer and opened my browser, before I typed in the uniform resource locator of the online route planner I use very often. Then I entered my address and the name of the location, where I am living. Afterwards I opened my desk drawer, where I found a sheet of paper, where the address of my oncle was written on. I typewrote what I read on the paper and pressed the enter key. There was no other next step necessary for getting the location plan. I saw a map on my screen, whereas on the left site of the window there was a description how to come to my oncle. I printed the map as well as the location plan and went to my relative by car.
When I was driving through the streets, I looked several times on my print-out to find my destination. After a length of a journey of thirty minutes I reached the tower block, where my oncle is living in. I parked my car and went to the entrance door. I looked at all the name plates beside the bell buttons and searched for the surname of my oncle. After 20 seconds I found it and pressed one of the approximately 50 bell buttons. My oncle opened the door automatically so that I was able to enter the building. Now I had to decide, if I should use the lift or if I should do something for my health. After thinking about it a little while, I decided to go upstairs. As my oncle lives in the forteenth floor, I was really exhausted, when I stood in front of his door of flat. My relative was already waiting for me in the door for acclaiming me. He made some jokes about my fitness and let me in.
I hadn't seen his flat for a long time. It was not very big, but quite comfortable. I observed his living room with the large modern TV set and the nice white leather couch in it. Also there were some pretty plants on the windowsill that were watered by my oncle several times a week. When I saw the kitchen, I was enthused. My oncle installed a brand-new modern kitchen with all functions that are possible. The dishwasher was very quiet, the cooker with the ceramic stove top looked really futuristic and the refrigerator and the icebox were very spacious. Also the bathroom that was cream-coloured was newly renovated. The bedroom was still the old one, but it looked very clean. It seemed as if my oncle cleaned up this room shortly before I arrived. After I had seen all the rooms, my oncle gave me something to drink and we talked a while about the past, the present and the future of our lifes. About one hour later I said good-bye to my oncle, took the elevator down, went to my car and drove back home.
Two days later I got a invitation of a family I know quite well. They live in a row house not far away from my home so that it was not necessary to search any maps or plans on the internet. This time I didn't take my car, as I could reach the house of the family by foot. So I left my flat and walked about ten minutes until I arrived at the terrace house of the married couple and his 2 children. I was well received by them, before I entered their home. The children were playing in the living room, while we ate some potato crisps, drank apple juice and took a look at some photos of the last holiday, the family spent together. They visited Hungary that is called Magyarorszag in the native language of the inhabitants of this country. The weather seemed to be very nice, because all photos I saw were very bright. After 2 hours my visitation ended. I said good bye to the four occupants of the really nice house and went back to my flat that I like very much, too.
The advantage of living in a flat is that you don't have to pay, if there is something broken or anything has to be renovated. Otherwise you have to pay a rent each month without getting any ownership. If you pay rates for a house you bought, you do this for your own property. It will be a right decision to become owner of a building, if you like renovating or repairing by your own. But if you don't like doing things like this, you should live in a flat and pay your monthly rental fee. I have relatives, who are living in flats as well as in their belongings. The oncle I visited lately is the only one, who is related to me, who lives in a high-rise building. Although some people wouldn't like to live in upper floors as my oncle, I can say from my own experience that it must be quite good for your health, if you use the staircase frequently. So doctors tell their patients either that it is healthy climbing stairs.
